What is BioDynamic Breath & Trauma Release?

BioDynamic Breath is built on a new approach to trauma release. This profound and revolutionary system of body therapy integrates deep connected breathing with specially designed conscious movement, body awareness techniques, bodywork, TRE tension & trauma release exercises, counseling, and meditation.
When skilfully combined in an integrated flow and safe environment, these techniques result in releasing long-held trauma, shocks, and limitations from the body and mind.
This approach is designed to break through the many layers of body armoring, releasing mental, emotional and physical resistance down to the core, while reducing ones deeply imprinted primal conditioning. It aims to uncover deep-seated blockages, manifesting often as chronic pain, addictive behaviors, obsessive-compulsive disorders, eating disorders or persistent health difficulties.
BioDynamic Breath & Trauma Release enables you to experience the full range of sensations and emotions available to a human being, whilst expanding your capacity to contain and support the free flow of life-force energy.
This work provides restructuring at a cellular level, supporting the opening of the spine and ultimately transforming you into an increasingly present, conscious and joyous being.
You open up to deeper acceptance of yourself and others, and in doing so begin to celebrate life to its fullest, being more present, thus more efficient and aware in your daily life choices and actions.
What to expect in BioDynamic Breath & Trauma Release Therapy Session?
During a short interview, we establish how trauma is held in your system and how it affects the quality of your daily life. You will be guided to bring your attention to the areas where you hold most tension and notice how it feels on the physical level. In order to activate this tension, we use a breathing technique called Trance Energetic Breathing (breathing through the mouth in a connected way, without pause between in-breath and out-breath). As a result, your body will charge up with energy which will facilitate the unblocking of tension, emotion, trauma, and/or prompt a full-body release. You will be supported to keep bringing your attention to the physical sensations you might be experiencing instead of getting lost in the intensity of your expression.
You are guided and supported to slow all forms of your expression in order to fully connect to your conscious experience.
Trauma work is based on uncoupling the physical tension from the emotional charge we hold in our bodies. When we break this vicious circle of emotional and physical tension, the space for healing and relaxation is created.
At the beginning of a session, you will be supported to find a resource within your body (a place of comfort and safety). This is the place where we periodically shift your attention through the session. When we move between the places of tension and charge and the resource in the body, we allow our neuromuscular system to relax and start to release long-held trauma. This release may come in many different ways. Emotional expression, shaking, trembling, laughter or tears, physical movement of the spine, these are just some releases that may be happening during your session.
The facilitator gently supports you by lovingly holding space throughout this breath session. Each session is different and includes counseling, various physical exercises and hands-on work to help you breathe more fully. We conclude each session with a short sharing to help you ground and process your experience.
This type of a session supports you to take steps towards your inner healing process instead of relying on outside sources.
Compared to talk therapy, BioDynamic Breath & Trauma Release is as short as 8 to 15 session series. It is effective enough to cause personal breakthroughs and leaps in awareness and health improvements.
BioDynamic Breath & Trauma Release for women
I create and hold a very supportive, safe, nourishing and compassionate space for women to explore their shadows in a forgiving, non-judgmental environment. Pelvic floor bodywork will be used to stimulate and release the energies bound up in the pelvic floor. This will bring back life flow to the entire energetic and nervous system.
The work is done on the muscles and focuses around tension held in the pelvic floor, around the pubic bone, the sacrum, the hips and the tailbone. I work on the outer muscles around the pelvis and genitals. The client wears clothing. Continuous supportive communication is maintained with the client during the session, to make sure they know the space we are working in is safe and respects the limits of individual women. The work progresses slowly, then step by step, it gradually deepens. The work is non-intrusive and non-sexual.
*Note: As trauma and tension are released, space is created for sexual energy to circulate more freely. This can lead to arousal or sensations that may not have been felt before.
Women often carry not only their own story in their pelvic floor but also the story of their ancestors and their lineage. This work helps to release these ancient memory banks carried within our bodies. As women release the traumatic experiences stored in their pelvic floor, they liberate their sexuality, creativity, and power. Their life, their expression, their sexuality improves. It is a reprogramming and a release that happens at a deeply cellular level.
This treatment is beneficial for women who:
- Have experienced sexual trauma
- Have suffered from grief and loss
- Hold inhibitions around sexuality and their body
- Live with constant fears
- Have issues with body image & food addiction
- Have had traumatic relationships in the past
- Store any type of traumatic experience in their pelvic floor
- Suffer from self-judgment
- Want to get in touch with their sexuality, creativity, and self-expression
