“There were two main takeaways. The first was stability during quite a 'turbulent' period of leaving my job and starting a business. The meditations gave me clarity to make a decision, and the ongoing work were great touch points to centre myself while going through the dramatic changes happening outside the sessions. The second was viewing relationships differently than before and moving away from the 'performance' mindset I use in all areas of my life. Though there is still some reminiscent behaviour remaining, my view of dating is a lot more relaxed and at ease than before. I also had many other takeaways such as improving relationships with my dad and mother in particular through portal work.
And others such as discussing the masculine and feminine energy, and different meditation techniques. Letting go of the performance mindset to a degree, the idea of needing to be the best at everything I do, and being harsh on myself when the best result is not achieved. Though, I still keep some elements of it because it pushes me to do my best. Release of many thoughts, feelings, and emotions from the breathwork sessions, allowing decisions or realizations to become apparent through emptiness rather than conscious thinking. I can go through life with a greater degree of assuredness, knowing there are certain techniques/practices I can use when inevitable challenges come up.

“When I came to Tulum, I was in a transformation, but I had a hard time figuring out what I needed to do. When I met Elina and her work, things opened up. In our 3 day retreat, first we targeted my problems with my inner child, and Elina taught me how to nourish her and be kind to her. Then we worked on my fear and father issues. Lastly, Elina helped me to gain my power back. All these stages, I saw the progress day by day, and became a better version of myself.
The main transformation I experienced was to gain my power back after an abusive relationship and becoming more comfortable in my own body. After the retreat, I had more confidence. I loved all of the programs we did together. “I meditate every day and have completed guided energy releases via personal development programs, so I thought I knew what to expect from Elina's session. How wrong I was! Elina's breathwork session was a life-changing experience. I went into the session with my desire to address my perceived loneliness. Even though I am very good with the ladies (I like to think), I always felt something was missing, like I NEEDED to have a partner. But during the session, I had a transformative experience of realizing the feminine energy within me.
It is very difficult to describe with words; it was akin to a religious experience, but the energy came from within me, and it was not a supernatural deity. It was very much a part of my being. At first, I felt the energy release from my chest and appear in front of me. It was a beautiful woman in complete white whose facial features were unrecognizable. She was emanating a loving, angelic, and divine energy that was encapsulating my entire being. I felt her energy fully, and she felt mine.
Her energy was so precious and beautiful. Even though we weren't having a direct conversation, the message I was receiving from her was along the lines of "I have always been here within you" and "I'll always be with you." We hugged, danced, and existed together as a presence for a brief moment. I was in tears at this profound realization that the "she" was always present within me, and I needn't look elsewhere for her. My meditation ended with the words "She is here," releasing from my chest. It was extraordinarily beautiful. Now, I feel I can enter a relationship as a complete whole, which is all I ever wanted. “So, to start, I had never done a breathwork class like this before. I was limited to some yoga, sound healing (which has always been a beautiful experience), and some chakra meditation. But this class, with Elina, was very different. For most men, in my opinion, we seem to be balled up in our masculine energy. Wanting to be in some control, to feel some level of stress. But most of us do want the feeling of "freedom." That feeling comes in all different forms, I'm sure.
Letting myself be freely immersed in Elina's breathing technique and guidance gave me a sense of that freedom, both mentally and physically, that in which I had never felt before. It was intense at times. And I wanted to fight it. But as I grew more confident in the session and let go trying to be in control, I was able to fully feel the essence of what she was trying to explain prior to the exercise. It was quite beautiful. I even joked afterward that she was a "good witch," casting a beautiful spell of release onto her students.
We all hear people talk about how they had some surreal, out-of-body feeling during meditation or a drug-induced trip. I think people tend to exaggerate from time to time. But this is not an overreaching depiction. This is what I felt. I felt its truth. It was right on time for me. And it was beautiful. I encourage all to take part in this beautiful exercise.
